Mark Khuri
Vice President & Co–Founder

Mark has been an avid real estate investor since 2005, having purchased and re-modeled numerous rental properties in California and Florida that have produced consistent positive income from rental. In Addition, Mark has been focused on investing, renovating and renting financially distressed properties since 2008.

Mark works directly with SMK’s clients and is responsible for all property acquisitions ensuring they meet the company’s objectives and desired rates of return.  He performs routine visits to the Midwest and Florida and is constantly analyzing market trends making certain that all investments are properly located and timed correctly.

Prior to devoting his time to Real Estate Investing, Mark was the Vice President of Sales & Operations since 2004 with Legends LLC, a Private Retail Distribution firm. Prior to his tenure with Legends LLC, Mark was a financial analyst with a fortune 500 Company.

Mark obtained his B.S. in Finance from Bentley University in 2002. Mark is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of California.

Dr. Khuri brings over 30 years to the table of experience investing in, owning and managing real estate for profit in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts , Florida , California, Arizona, England and Lebanon.

A few key projects Dr. Khuri’s has invested in and managed with partners include, apartment complexes ranging from 24 – 72 units. These properties were held and managed for 3 -8 years before being sold for a profit. In addition Dr. Khuri has invested in and managed two commercial buildings with partners. Using a similar strategy these buildings were held & managed between 3- 7 years before being sold for a profit.

More recently, Dr. Khuri has bought and sold condominiums in New York City, Residential Vacant Land in Vermont and Florida yielding high returns in just 1.5 – 3 years.

Dr. Khuri’s primary role is the focus on the overall financial management of our clients portfolios including working directly with our attorneys and accountants to ensure all transactions are done in favor of our investors. In addition, Dr. Khuri personally researches and evaluates all potential properties ensuring they fall into our client’s objectives.

Dr. Khuri is a licensed orthopedic surgeon in both New York State and Florida. In addition he also completed his M.B.A at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1998.

Mathew Hamlin, CPA
Accountant

Mathew Hamlin is a CPA and a senior manager at Jones & Roth CPA firm. He has a broad range of experience in audit, assurance and taxation for private clients, commercial businesses and nonprofit organizations. Mathew began his career in public accounting in 2008 after graduating from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Economics. He enjoys working with his clients to provide valuable solutions for their financial goals and appreciates the long term relationships that have developed from those interactions.

Lori Dague
Project Manager

Lori is a key member of SMK’s back office operation providing oversight and on going management of SMK’s properties.  Some of Lori’s day to day roles include quality control and project management of ongoing renovations, property acquisition analysis, working with our property managers, rent collection, hiring contractors, bill payment, shopping for competitive property insurance and reconciliation of the company books.  Lori has an office management background with over 15 years of experience working with Quickbooks, estimating, purchasing, invoicing and payroll.

Paula DiNatale
Bookkeeper

Paula DiNatale has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience specifically in real estate development, construction, investment and property management.   From her earlier years working as property manager and accountant for a portfolio of regional shopping centers with Triad Partners, to her transition into the Multi Family Affordable Housing world with Windsor Capital, she became a self taught Asset Manager for a portfolio of 16 Multi Family properties for a large non-profit out of New York City.   In 2005 , as the Divisional Multi Family Controller of Steadfast Properties, Paula provided the accounting and finance expertise along with assisting in the strategic operating management that resulted in a growth in revenue from $10MM to $50MM during her years with the company. She currently owns her own accounting consulting firm where she is using her background to assist other real estate entrepreneurs.
