We analyze between 10-20 investment opportunities each month, and invest in 5-10 per year.

Mark Khuri, Co-Founder
Mr. Khuri brings over 18 years of real estate investing experience to the organization. His career started in 2005 when he began investing in residential real estate in California and Florida. Throughout his career Mark has been involved in sourcing, underwriting, acquiring, raising capital, rehabilitating, managing and selling both residential and commercial investments throughout multiple markets in the US.
Mr. Khuri has analyzed thousands of investment opportunities and has successfully bought, renovated, sold and invested in over 120 properties with a combined value over $1.5 billion and created and managed over 65 real estate partnerships with investors.
Mr. Khuri and affiliates of SMK have invested in over 50 commercial real estate opportunities across numerous asset classes including mobile home parks, self-storage facilities, multi-family communities, retail shopping centers, oil wells, student housing, vacant land, short-term debt and other niche sectors.
Prior to founding SMK Capital Management, Mr. Khuri was the Vice President of Sales & Operations with a private retail distribution firm and Mr. Khuri worked as a financial analyst with a fortune 500 Company performing budgeting, planning and internal audit roles. Mr. Khuri holds a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA, was a CA licensed RE Broker and taught Real Estate Investing Principals and Best Practices at Central Oregon Community College. In his spare time Mr. Khuri enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 2 children.

Dr. Suheil Khuri, Co-Founder
Dr. Khuri brings over 40 years of experience investing in, owning and managing real estate for profit in numerous states as well as overseas in England and Lebanon.
Dr. Khuri is a retired licensed orthopedic surgeon in both New York State and Florida. In addition he also completed his M.B.A at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1998.
After being actively involved with SMK since its inceptions, Dr. Khuri’s primary role is as a consultant continuing to provide advice and direction for various investment strategies, acquisitions and opportunities.
Daniel Valenti, Portfolio Manager
Mr. Valenti brings over 15 years of real estate investing experience, starting with residential properties in the Northeast and later expanding to commercial properties throughout the US. Dan has experience in many of the real estate investing phases including: underwriting, acquisitions, capital raises and asset management.
Commensurate with his real estate investing career, Dan worked on Wall Street with roles in risk management and interest rate portfolio management. Prior to joining SMK, Mr. Valenti was Senior Vice President at Citi where he was responsible for the bank's short-term funding, interest rate hedging and management of the treasury and government agency bond liquidity portfolio.
Mathew Hamlin, CPA
Mathew Hamlin is a central Oregon native and licensed by the Oregon Board of Accountancy to practice public accounting. He graduated from the University of Oregon College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and worked for over a decade in the public accounting profession with a large Oregon based firm.
Mathew is responsible for SMK’s tax reporting, preparation of investors K1’s and he provides strategic tax planning for the company and it’s clients. “Growth for the sake of growth doesn’t motivate me. What does is sharing my nonprofit, healthcare and taxation expertise with the organizations and individuals that serve my community”
Ryan Andrews, Managing Partner Aerial Investment Management
Mr. Andrews brings over 16 years experience in investment management and real estate finance to the organization. He has capitalized and managed four investment funds including a residential construction debt fund where he oversaw underwriting for over $45 million in loan originations, managed a portfolio of over 110 loans, and oversaw investor relations for over 170 investors. He has structured, capitalized and managed investments in land, development, construction, and renovation projects including a 161-unit multifamily project under development in Seattle. He has held CFO/COO & leadership positions at multiple venture backed high-technology companies. Mr. Andrews started his career in institutional investment management at PIMCO. He holds a B.S. from Cal Poly.
Paula DiNatale, Bookkeeper
Paula DiNatale has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience specifically in real estate development, construction, investment and property management. From her earlier years working as a property manager and accountant for a portfolio of regional shopping centers with Triad Partners, to her transition into the Multi Family Affordable Housing world with Windsor Capital, she became a self taught Asset Manager for a portfolio of 16 Multi Family properties for a large non-profit out of New York City.
In 2005 , as the Divisional Multi Family Controller of Steadfast Properties, Paula provided the accounting and finance expertise along with assisting in the strategic operating management that resulted in a growth in revenue from $10MM to $50MM. She currently owns her own accounting consulting firm where she is using her background to assist other real estate entrepreneurs.
